Hold me by Your hand, Lord Jesus
Hold me by Your hand lest I fall
If You don't hold me by Your hand, I'll fall
If I fall, I will break into pieces
Please hold me by Your hand lest I fall.
Hold me by Your hand, Lord Jesus.
If I break into pieces, I'll scatter
If I scatter, nobody'll gather me
I'll waste away and go to the wrong place
Please hold me by Your hand lest I fall.
Hold me by Your hand, Lord Jesus.
Because You know the secret of this earth
Because You know how Father formed this earth
That was why You came before me
Please hold me by Your hand lest I fall.
Hold me by Your hand, Lord Jesus.
Because You are the One I look onto
Because You are the One I'm following
Because You have built the house before me
Please hold me by Your hand lest I fall.
Hold me by Your hand, Lord Jesus.
Though You've built this foundation before me
I cannot live in this house on my own
Therefore, I need You, Lord Jesus
Please hold me by Your hand lest I fall.
Never let me fall, every day by day
Because this earth is an open place
You're the Step upon which I place my feet
You are the Rail that I hold onto
Please hold me by Your hand lest I fall.
The Almighty Father gave me the words of this song on Saturday morning in my living room here in Catford, London. I wrote it down, arranged and composed it the same day. The Father said as Jesus stands by you, the next thing is for Him to hold you by His hand.
