Christmas

If a woman is pregnant, she has the choice to deliver her baby wherever she chooses. She could leave a remote village in Africa to deliver her baby in the best hospital in America. As long she can fund her medical bills, they’ll welcome her with open arms. In some countries, the baby is entitled to their nationality. From the beginning to the end of the life of that baby, people may know nothing about him because he’s just one of the numerous children that pass through the face of the Earth. A child whose parents couldn’t afford to deliver him in one of the best hospitals could live a fulfilled life more than the one that was born in the best hospital. It doesn’t matter how and where a child is born. What matters is the life he lives afterwards. Either you’re born on top of a tree or inside a hole, it doesn’t matter. What matters is the kind of life you live afterwards.

Mary’s pregnancy was marred by lots of humiliation and pains, yet, she received a divine message concerning her unborn child. A young woman without a husband, betrothed to a man who almost put her to shame if not for the intervention of Heaven. Her neighbours humiliated her throughout the pregnancy. She was tagged a prostitute. Jehovah God purposely allowed her to pass through all these so that the story would remain as long the Earth endures. When the time came for her delivery, she wandered from her home to the city of Bethlehem to fulfil one of the numerous prophecies concerning her unborn baby. On getting to the city, as her pains lingered, no room could contain her because every room was occupied. She had to endure the smell of a stable even in her pains to deliver her baby. A baby who isn’t an ordinary baby but a King. A King shared room with sheep and cattle to see the light of the world.

Today, that baby that was born in the city of Bethlehem paved way for the salvation and redemption of the whole world. The Bible says in the Book of John 3:16 that, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” Without Him, no eyes will behold the gate of Heaven. Hallelujah! Jehovah God is wiser than everyone. That which Lucifer thought was impossible was made possible because the Owner of everything is wiser than all. The whole world, both believers and pagans remember that baby that was born in the stable.

Beloved, we’re not ignorant of who and what we believe. Therefore, we do not celebrate in flesh but in Spirit because we understand and cherish the work that our Father did for us. Many people have spent lots of money in preparation for Christmas, yet, they have no connection with Him because they don’t believe in Him. Therefore, their celebration is in vain. But as for you, you believe and know who you’re celebrating. As you celebrate Jesus Christ, you should also remember Mary who made everything possible. Let us therefore remain focus in our journey even at this festive period. Let us look back how far we have come and rededicate our lives once more so that the grace that was given to us through Jesus Christ who we’re celebrating will not be in vain. I pray for you this day that the joy of the Saviour will remain with you and your household now and always in Jesus name. Amen!
