No man is holy as the Lord,
For all are flesh and frail;
Yet He commands a holy walk,
That we may never fail.
Who gives his life to Christ the King
Must yield his all above,
And lay his will before the feet
Of Him who died in love.

For severed from the living Vine,
No fruit can come from me.

The Saviour said, "Abide in Me,
And I in you shall dwell;
For as the branch cannot bear fruit
Apart from the root and stem,
So none can live a fruitful life,
Or walk the heavenward way,
Unless he stays within the Vine
And follows day by day."

The branch cut off from Christ the Lord
No lasting fruit can yield.

Thy holy word remains,
Then what we ask in faith and truth
Thy mercy surely grants.
The Father's name is glorified
When fruit in us is seen;
And by our walk, the world shall know
That we to Christ have been.
