Despise No Soul

(Wednesday, 29th July, 2026)

[Verse 1]
The blind, the lame, the leper too,
The troubled mind, the one despised,
The fallen woman and the strong
Are human souls in Heaven's eyes.

[Chorus]
Despise no soul whom God has made,
Nor judge by outward misery;
The Father sees the heart within,
Lord, teach us love and purity.

[Verse 2]
The selfsame blood flows through our veins,
One breath sustains both great and small;
Whatever state a soul may bear,
The Father is the Judge of all.

[Chorus]
Despise no soul whom God has made,
Nor judge by outward misery;
The Father sees the heart within,
Lord, teach us love and purity.

[Verse 3]
When Christ our blessed Saviour came,
He scorned no wounded, sinful soul;
He preached the Gospel unto all,
And those who heard Him were made whole.

[Chorus]
Despise no soul whom God has made,
Nor judge by outward misery;
The Father sees the heart within,
Lord, teach us love and purity.

[Verse 4]
He touched the sick and raised the weak,
He gave the blind their sight again;
And all who welcomed His great Word
Brought glory to the Lord. Amen.

[Chorus]
Despise no soul whom God has made,
Nor judge by outward misery;
The Father sees the heart within,
Lord, teach us love and purity.

[Verse 5]
The Father seeks a holy heart,
A life of truth and righteousness;
Though outwardly a man seems poor,
The Lord may clothe his soul with grace.

[Chorus]
Despise no soul whom God has made,
Nor judge by outward misery;
The Father sees the heart within,
Lord, teach us love and purity.

[Verse 6]
Remove all favour from our hearts,
Let prejudice and pride depart;
That Satan find no fault in us,
And God approve each faithful heart.

[Final Chorus]
Despise no soul whom God has made,
Nor judge by outward misery;
The Father sees the heart within,
Lord, teach us love and purity.
